And away we go:
pwddmac: so, that new teresa masterson thing, i think we should just leave it alone this time. i don’t want to do TM overkill.
anonymous reader: no! we can’t not talk about her pole dancing.
reader: although for some reason, i feel almost bad when we make fun of her now
reader: she does seem reasonably cool
pwddmac: i agree. but it’s just a shtick. i mean, we’re not all that mean, are we?
reader: i guess we’re just more detached. i’ve never thought of her reading this before.
pwddmac: hmm. so do you want to let it go?
reader: uh, no. i’m just going to feel bad about it afterward.
reader: let’s play a game called - can you diagram the following sentence:
reader: “But in this Britney Spears culture, where women feel it necessary to show it all, it seems like were missing the good stuff when everyone is showing off all of their stuff.”
pwddmac: okay.
 |
pwddmac: i gave up after that
pwddmac: did you know there’s a pole in big boi’s bedroom?
pwddmac: i saw it on cribs. t.o. also has a room called the “chocolate room” in his atlanta house where you have to take your shoes off to enter.
reader: oh god, she should go interview t.o. that would be amazing.
reader: or at least drew
pwddmac: “Next question!”
pwddmac: “Drew, do you think that, in this Britney Spears culture, where women feel it necessary to show it all, it seems like we’re missing the good stuff when everyone is showing off all of their stuff?”
reader: the next “crazy” thing she does for the “blog” should be a “date” with john ogden, i think
pwddmac: or she can get help him do things to get evicted

Imagine that sentence delivered aloud by Sarah Jessica Parker, and you’ll understand just how destructive the influence of Sex And The City has been on our society. I’m amazed there wasn’t a pun in there. Or is there?
Also, she’s looked hotter.
Hi. I’m the lead instructor for the pole class Teresa took. I thought she did a pretty good job, but my students were PISSED. The biggest problem they had, was her calling the class anti-feminist. I think the public is taking this too seriously. The class is REALLY just a combination of Jazz dance, and Gymnastics. What Chris Rock was talking about (”my job is to keep my baby off the pole”) was to not have his daughter dry humping strangers at $20 a pop. But that’s not as funny as just saying “The Pole”. And to take a quote from Family Guy, of all things, haha, “Feminism is about choice”. My girls all have regular careers. One is an ER doctor. So, she could now say that she could hold her own on the operating table, or on a pole. Tell me THAT’S not sexy! I’ve been a professional Jazz/partner dancer for 15 years. This kind of dance is the most fun I’ve ever had, I’ve never been stronger, and my husband will still be the only guy to see my breasts. Sorry fellas, haha. I figure the kind of girls who agree with Teresa’s philosophy wouldn’t be interested in taking the class anyway, so that’s OK. My students are working on an ultra slutty move to name after her though. Sorry Teresa!

THE CLASS-
All classes begin with a warm up specifically designed for the muscles used in class. The warm up consists of stretching, crunches, and push ups. Then you’ll work on hip movement and “booty popping”! The warm up is fast paced and formatted so that you barely feel like you’re working out. It only lasts about 15 minutes, so get to class on time!
THEN, Once you are properly warmed up, it’s off to the poles! You WILL learn at least one pole trick in your first lesson. After you’ve been with us a while, you will have more of a say in what tricks you’d like to work on. All students get their own supervised time on the pole, with some time on the second pole to practice when time allows. Individual attention is to ensure you are doing it properly, to avoid injuries. At the end of class, each “Diva” is given time to show off her new moves, and you’ll get to experience the applause from your supportive fellow students!
You will then learn how to properly move in heels. This section will progress from week to week as your balance and confidence improves, and you’ll soon want to upgrade to platforms with 5 inch heels! Please visit the “What to wear?” page for further details.
