Former Phillies Pitchers Get Arrested, Too
The Dallas Morning News reported this morning that former Phillies pitcher Vicente Padilla was arrested last month on suspicion of DWI. Padilla doesn’t talk to the press, but his attorney said his blood alcohol level was below .08, the legal limit for Texas. (Padilla was traded in the off-season to the Rangers.) He may face sanctions for his other comments during his arrest, though. The police report, leaked to, oh, TMZ.com, reads as follows:
Fortunately, Padilla did not continue his tirade at the police station. Rangers’ Padilla suspected of DWI [Dallas Morning News] |

If he could hold opposing teams to a mere four or five runs a game, and also hated the Jews, I could live with that.
