A Humble Suggestion For A New Phillies Fan ClubNow that Sal Fasano has been designated for assignment and will probably be released in the coming days, there’s going to be a hole in the right field stands. Yes, the popular Sal’s Pals, the Sal Fasano fan club, no longer has a leader. And, yeah, the Wolf Pack should be back when Randy Wolf gets off the DL, but the second best fan club was Sal’s Pals, and it’ll be hard to replace it. (Chase Utley has “Chase’s Chicks” and “Utley’s Ugleys.”) But there’s no logical replacement for Sal’s Pals than a fan club for the man responsible for Sal’s release, Chris Coste. The 33-year-old bounced around the minor leagues for several years, finally making his major league debut this May with the Phils. And after an 0-for-13 slump to start his career, Coste is now hitting .333 with two homers and 12 RBI in 54 at bats. And, hey, while Sal was a fun story, so is Coste. That being said, I think this will be an adequate replacement. It’s not the same, but it’ll do:

Have any body seen Flash’s Followers, I was at the game when those two Utley fan groups were there and i could barely hear them. I also saw the replay of a phillies game on television and you could hear all the chants from Flash’s fan group while watching on tv. It seems to me that they are a lot better fans and the chicks don’t even know whats going on in the game.
Come on, the obvious winner here is…The Coste Guard.

How about “Coste’s Boasts”? Everyone could where t-shirts with things that they imagine Coste would boast of, like: “I may be 33-years-old, but at least I’m in the major-fucking-leagues, bitches!” Or maybe: “I’m so good, they kicked Sal Fasano off the team to make room for me.”
Let me tell evyer1 a little somethin…no1 is better fans then UTLEYS UGLEYS…with what little money we have we bust it to try and make every game possible…i am sending this on behalf of the group saying we are tired of being “second” or “third” best….we are the true fans and Chase Utley hears us every game…and so does every1 else
For the fake phillies fans…stop trashing UTLEYS UGLEYS…we chant louder then any1 in that stadium…if you went to as many games as us you would realize it…how about some brotherly love instead of the bad mouthin
Utleys ugleys may be loud but those Chicks are so much hotter…plus rumor has it Chase has a hat they gave him and wears it in the club house all the time. and as for those followers, they just seem gay wearing spandex superhero customs, when Tom Gordon is probably being traded.
I’m not bad mouthing Utleys Uglies…im just saying its not as creative as the Followers and the followers seem to be louder especially since if you watch a game on tv you can hear their chants. Also the uglies costumes are pretty sweet must of been hard to come up with that. Ill just mention the chicks here n say…your not hot and you wish you could have as much fun as real fans
Give me a break with flashes fallowers and chases chicks.. i’d liek to hope the followers can be loud considering theres 15-20 of them and chases chick are girls - period The UGLEYS are a REAL Philly fan group that has the dedication and the heart. All the others are out for the publicity.

yea i guess you didnt see the ugleys on espn or sportscenter or baseball tonite or comcast or daily news because i sure as hell didnt see flash’s followers and yes they do talk about chases chicks but there bitches and ulgy ones too they suck and should little at best support for the team were are there now when we all know this team is not playoff bound we are the best fans there

Okay…I’m a Chase’s Chick and I think that all of this nonsense fighting over fan groups is COMPLETELY ridiculous. We’re all cheering for the same team, right? Although there are some people in the fan groups that know absolutely NOTHING about baseball or the person they are cheering for, there are some of us who do. This fighting about whose a poser or the biggest fan is dumb…Utley’s Uglies - you guys came after the chicks but WHO CARES…as long as you’re having fun and supporting the phillies, that’s cool. Wow. I’m going to address this in order.
1. Carlos Delgado was just in a 2-for-25 slump, or something ridiculous. Surely if he was on steroids, he’d be actually doing something for the team.
2. Carlos Beltran, although has been performing quite well this season, has been somewhat of a disappointment. Remember in 2003 when he hit 8 HR in 12 games. Beltran is speedy, and can hit for average or power, which steroid users can not.
3. Jose Reyes, I assume is who you are refering to, and not Jose Valentin. If you knew anything, you’d call Alay Soler an illegal immigrant, since he defected from Cuba to recieve political asylum in the Dominican Republic, and then after being signed by the Mets in September `04, was unable to acquire a visa until November of `05.
4. Pedro Martinez is obviously not an illegal immagrant, due to the fact that he has been in the country since around 1988.
5. David Wright is currently in a slump, although is the best 3rd baseman in the NL barnone, and arguably in the MLB.
6. Tom Glavine IS very old.
7. Shea Stadium looks more like a toilet “bowl” than a pile of shit. Wanna talk about piles of shit? Huge ass light up bells in the outfield…that’s some gay shit.
