The Power Of Rain

You may have noticed that this morning’s posts were a little late. Well, even though there were other story-related reasons, I’d like to publicly plame my cable/Internet, which was out for a little bit. I’m assuming this was because of the giant lightning storm that knocked out power to tons of customers and still has about 4,000 people in the area without that modern convenience.

Everyone could sort of see the storms coming, since it was hot and humid all week and the weather people had been telling us that we were going to get soaked eventually all week. But now it’s all over, right, and the only real problem we had is that a couple places are without power and Clementon Amusement Park in New Jersey is closed?

Well, maybe not:

Clouds will be in place for most of the day today and with that, temperatures will be kept down. Additionally, the threat of rain at any time in the area will hang over our heads. This is an umbrella day because of the ‘any time, any where’ potential of storms.

Huzzah! What’s a better way to top off a week of hot, but nice, weather than with a bunch of thunderstorms!
