No More Slick Rick On 12th?Yesterday, pro-gay and anti-Rick Santorum activists were planning a protest out front of 12th Street Gym, the in-the-heart-of-the-Gayborhood, gay-friendly workout mecca. The protest was due to part-owner and Evening Bulletin backer Bob Guzzardi’s support for (and $4,000 of donations to) U.S. Senator Rick Santorum, who’s opposed to gay marriage and the right to gay sex, &c. Over the weekend, though, Guzzardi sold his shares to gym co-owner Rick Piper, and the rally went on as planned, but it was more of just a general anti-Santorum protest and victory rally. I suppost that’s fine, although Guzzardi still supports Santorum — he says it’s due to the senator’s support for Israel — he just doesn’t own that gym anymore. But, eh. Hurrah, hurrah. Metro had a photo of a protester outside the gym, which I’ve reproduced part of below:

Talk about going overboard. So teh guy gave some money to Santorum because he likes his pro-Israel beliefs. Sheesh.
