Wait, this is really what was predicted?

On the radio, they’re saying that in many neighborhoods today it looks like a Christmas card. I don’t really know what that means, but the snow did end up falling — starting up in the evening last night — and Philadelphia officially got four inches of snow at the airport.

That was about what everyone was predicting. It’s not enough for a snowman and just enough for a snowball fight. But, once again, I wonder: all of this hype for four inches of snow? Watching the news yesterday you’d think we were getting a 30-inch blizzard. Waking up to KYW 1060 this morning they were already talking about “the next snowfall on Friday.” Woohoo!

So, you know, enjoy the nice day — temperatures in the 30s, so sunny you have to wear sunglasses, etc. — because, you know, the hype about Friday’s super storm should start on about Wednesday or so. And the pattern repeats…
