Daily News: Four, five, who’s counting?

I was wondering how the Daily News was going to handle the whole “The 5″ thing. The DN organized its columnists into a thing called “The 5,” which was five columnists, five days a week, on Page 5. Well, the first day. Then they moved it off Page 5. Which is okay. Still five columnists, five days!

Then columnist Carla “Urban Warrior” Anderson left the paper, and now they’re left with a graphic that’s a little outdated:

If that’s a little hard to read (sorry, I needed to make it fit), it says “Five great columnists! Five days a week!” Which is now, of course, a lie. But, you know, the Daily News would have to edit its graphic in order to fix that. At this point, I fully expect them to stop publishing, say, Wednesdays — and still use that tagline.
