Daily News accidentally publishes blog (in print)

Check out this letter in today’s Daily News. It’s clearly a mashup of several blog entries from somebody’s Livejournal. And it’s totally random, with no rhyme, reason or segues:

I’VE read the Daily News almost every day for the better part of 20 years.

The most pleasurable part of the paper is the sports section, in particular Bill Conlin, John Smallwood and Phil Jasner. But second to that is the editorial section. Edition volume 81, No. 160, dated Oct. 7, offered numerous well-written letters from David Szczepanski, Matthew Tulini, Susan Marston and Nick Amicone.

These amateur authors have excellent opinions with appropriate “public” insights, unlike the childlike garble of some others. As to the rest of the views, readers will agree, be selective and avoid the constant publicity-seeking yammering of a few and offer us the “best of the rest” that your department receives.

And while I’m at it: Shame on the Catholic priests who betrayed our trust, and thank heaven for sending us Andy Reid and Joe Natoli.

Philadelphia

Yeah, thank heaven for sending Joe Natoli to this city. The 100 jobs we’re losing and the decreased quality of the two dailies has certainly been good for the city. While I’m at it let me thank God for Milton Street. Oh, by the way, I like puppies. Man, how about that weather out there? It stinks when the Eagles have a bye week. Did you see the Penn State game on Saturday? What a lame finish. Oh, I hurt my hand on Saturday when I turned to go to the other room and crashed into the wall. Boy, I sure hope the quagmire in Iraq turns out well!

Critiquing the Daily News (& Views) [DN]

  1. Mike Says: Oct 17 2:02 PM

I’VE read Philadelphia Will Do almost every day for the better part of 3 months.

The most pleasurable part of the blog is the ads for gay masseurs, in particular Matt. But second to that is the puppy section. Today’s edition features a link to a cute puppy.

D-Mac has excellent opinions with apropriate “public” insights, unlike the childlike garble of some other bloggers. As to the rest of the views, readers will agree, be selective and avoid the constant publicity-seeking yammering of Philebrity and offer us the “best of the rest” that your blog receives.

And while I’m at it: Shame on Andy Reid, who betrayed our trust, and thank heaven for sending us Tasty Kakes and the letters section of the Northeast Times.
